Memlooks explained

Code d' Odalisque is not set up in opposition to other established forms of consensual Master/slave play/lifestyle – rather it is an extension of them with the purpose of reviving the institution of ODALISQUE, the dedicated sex slave.

In the jargon of Code d' Odalisque, ordinary slaves are called MEMLOOKS. Most master/slave arrangements in the contemporary subcultures are cases of memlook slavery. Memlooks are all-purpose slaves. They can be work slaves and they can be used for sexual purposes. They can be collared. They can be punished and subjected to SM practices.

An ODALISQUE is above and beyond a memlook and has a defined, specific role (sexual slave) and – importantly – has rights and privileges set out in Code d' Odalisque. A memlook has no rights. An odalisque cannot be treated as a work slave and she is protected from brutality etc. She is a luxury slave. An odalisque cannot own a memlook, but a memlook might be ordered to wait upon an odalisque.

Code d' Odalisque merely restores the specialized vocation of ODALISQUE. Members of the BDSM community who enjoy a Master/slave relationship are probably practising memlook slavery. Odalisque slavery is an extension of this – it restores the special status of the odalisque, the female cockslave, who has a higher status than a memlook and so enjoys special privileges.

It is not a case of either/or. People may practice memlook slavery and keep odalisques as well. Code d' Odalisque defines the role of odalisque and sets out the rights and obligations of such special slaves.

An odalisque is a female cockslave. Memlooks may be either male or female.
