What is an odalisque for?

Question: What is an odalisque for? Why would a man want to have an odalisque? Why would a woman want to be one?

This question is really asking what Code d' Odalisque is all about. It is about style, elegance, beauty - but above all it is about sex. Sexual exploration. The whole purpose of consensual odalisque slavery is to provide a platform, or an arena, for sexual exploration between consenting, horny adults. This is done in an atmosphere of some refinement and a framework that is non-violent and safe. The formality of the "game" and the traditions of the odalisque, including the slave positions and the etiquette, are to avoid grunge and sordid scenes. Code d' Odalisque is about civilized sexuality.

Slave play - where the woman makes herself into a willing and obedient sexual servant - allows for a greater depth and intensity of sexual exploration than the standard vanilla relationship. That is why people own slaves and why they want to be slaves. Because slave play allows a more intense degree of sexual expression. A perfectly willing and obedient sexual servant allows for a wide range of exploration. A man can use an odalisque to explore his fantasies.

People who participate in Code d' Odalisque do so because - for whatever reason - they want to explore beyond the ordinary limits of sexual play, and they want to do so within a framework that is sensual, beautiful, safe, legal and sane. That is what Code d' Odalisque offers, and that is what people find attractive about it. It is for people - men and women - who are called to new intensities of sexual exploration. They are sexual people.

Code d' Odalisque is not specifically about so-called "power exchange" - except that there is always "power exchange" in any human interaction and especially in Dominant/submissive relationships. But the thrill of power is not the point of this mode of slave play. An odalisque is very specifically a sexual slave. So Code d' Ode is about sex. Other types of consensual slavery are not necessarily or not primarily erotic in purpose. But Code d' Ode is. An odalisque - finally - is a fuckpuppet. She gives herself up to be used sexually. A man owns an odalisque because he needs a fuckpuppet to use to explore his fantasies. It is as simple as that.
