Bored with sexual service?

The odalisque’s role is one dimensional. She is a sexual slave – sex is what she does. Wouldn’t this become boring for her after a while? You can have too much of a good thing. If providing her Master with sex is all she does, there is the danger she might grow tired and jaded. She might feel that she needs a more varied range of duties in order to maintain interest and find serving fulfilling.

The Code allows for this by providing an odalisque with a life of luxury. She is a luxury slave. She does not work. When she is not on duty and actively serving her Master her time is her own. She is captive, but it is an opulent captivity. She has her own room, her odella, and the Code allows for a range of diversions that might enrich her life. These include keeping a pet and pursuing a creative art. The slave need not be one dimensional in herself – although her fondest wish is always to be actively serving her Master’s cock. Her nurture includes allowing her to have her own diversions.

The odalisque has an explicit right to attend to an art. The Code states:

10.40. - The right to attend to an art

An odalisque may, if she wishes, attend to one of the arts - singing, music, poetry, painting - in which case her Keeper shall supply her with whatever she needs to pursue the art and reach her full potential in it.

Such pursuits should not distract the slave from her primary duty – she is a cockslave – but in practice odalisques have a large amount of spare time. During this time she should attend to bathing, exercise, grooming, physical refinement. But a creative art, as well as a physical regime, is an appropriate way to fill the odalisque’s hours. An odalisque may then enhance her beauty with art. She is a living ornament to her Master’s life. She lazes quietly around, naked, to be admired, an object of beauty and delight. She serves her Master’s bed. She might also play cello for her Master, or violin, or piano, or sing, or recite her poetry. An odalisque is a refined slave. Her Keeper must – under the Code – support her in this type of refinement.

Even so, most women would find the odalisque's life boring. It is a quiet life punctuated with sex. Only a few women have aptitude for such a life of luxurious slavery. It is a life of sexual captivity and one dimensional in that respect. The odalisque does not have a wide range of duties - although it is hoped that a Slavekeeper can provide a rich and varied range of sexual duties for his cockslave. She has a lot of spare time. For some women this is a very good deal: her own room, no work, the right to pursue an art. Reading. A pet. The pampered slave. It is not for everyone, but for some women it is - at least for some time - a fulfilling lifestyle.
